DECOMMISSIONING AND INSTALLATION SOLUTIONS FOR PIPES AND FLEXIBLES

Latrix_Logo-2.png

Centric offers in Brazil the LAYTRIX Solutions for Decommissioning and Launching of Flexible Lines from an innovative system that can be installed on smaller and cost-effective vessels, compared to high-capacity Line Launch Vessels (PLSVs).

DECOMMISSIONING OF FLEXIBLE LINES

The LAYTRIX system aims to maximize the use of vessels with immediate operation availability, but without installed capacity for the decommissioning of flexible lines. In this case, the system is deployed on the deck of the vessel, making it suitable for this type of activity, and at a cost of less than 50% compared to the use of a PLSV.

Such cost reduction is fundamental and even more relevant for decommissioning operations in oil fields with no financial return and reduced water depth, which brings significant value to the Operator, as the LAYTRIX solution allows a drastic reduction in the budget of the project.

PIPE-LAY AND INSTALLATION MODE

The LAYTRIX system can also be configured for laying and installing rigid ducts, flexible lines, electrical cables and control umbilicals.

The modularity and flexibility of the LAYTRIX system allows maximum use of its installation layout and quick configuration on the deck of any support vessel with minimum operational capacity for offshore construction projects.

Umbilical and Flexible Pipes

Flexlay Mode can be used to install umbilical or flexible pipes.

The main tower frame can be configured with a tensioner and alignment trough similar to traditional systems with the lower suspension bracket capable of providing a maximum line tension of around 100 tons. The tensioner can be supplied by the customer or contracted from a third party, again minimizing the costs incurred in the project compared to a PLSV vessel with more capacity than needed.

Rigid Pipes

In pipelay mode, the system can be configured for J-Lay operations with a variety of angles - from 90 degrees to 10 degrees and in water depths of approximately 200m, with pipe diameters up to 12”.

The LAYTRIX system is suitable for maximum line tensions of 100 tonnes with a cassette system allowing efficient loading of tubes onto the ship and tower, maximizing the speed of the installation system.

The use of an "opportunity vessel" or an already chartered vessel further increases the cost savings of the project as a whole.
